It’s been more than 6 months of staying and working from home. Boredom is bound to happen but in order to stay safe, it is important to stay home. Why not play around the decor of your home and spruce up your bedroom too? That’s one way I am keeping my mind occupied – by undertaking some DIY home decor projects and changing the decor of my house. Recently, I also changed the decor of my bedroom, and to say that I am pleased with the result would be an understatement. If you are looking for some ideas to spruce up your bedroom too without spending anything? Then this is the post for you!?
I firmly believe that most times we have enough things at home to change a few things or redecorate our house and don’t need to spend any money. Some mix and match, moving a few things here and there, adding more color, etc. and you are done. But even if it is only a few changes, you need to plan and know exactly what you are doing and what you want to achieve. The simple steps I have enlisted below are super easy to apply/follow and I can promise that they’ll result in you falling in love with your bedroom all over again.
Here’s how you can spruce up your bedroom –
Change the bed linen
Sometimes using the bed linen from the same color palate may start to look boring and monotonous. So spice up the colors. Add a bright-colored throw blanket or add a pop of color through throw pillows. You can even switch up the curtains if you want to make a few more changes.

Add some greenery
One of my favorite ways to spruce up your bedroom is by adding a few plants. Nothing feels more bright and alive than real plants. or pothos on your nightstands. The best part is that these plants are super low maintenance and are also excellent air-purifiers.
Put some pictures up
Add a personal touch by changing any artwork with pictures of yourself and your partner. . You could even create a gallery wall with family pictures. If you already have pictures up on the wall, change them for new ones. It might not feel a lot but it’ll really freshen up your bedroom!
Move the furniture around
If your bedroom layout permits, try changing the position of your bed, nightstand, etc. I recently did this and it feels like a whole new room. You could go small by just moving smaller pieces of furniture around or you could go for a whole revamp. One more thing I keep in mind is not over cluttering the bedroom with a lot of furniture. Keep it simple and functional!
Declutter, declutter, declutter
You’d be surprised what difference just reorganizing the existing stuff and decluttering would make to your bedroom. Whether it is your nightstand, your dresser, or your study table, remove things you don’t need and only keep things that are your everyday essentials. A clear line of sight will make you feel better and help you relax better too!
I hope you liked these ideas! Ultimately, my mantra is simple, stylish, and functional and that’s what is reflected in my home decor too.
